Omega Engineering is looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman & SolidWorks Designer to join our engineering and manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate 2D engineering drawings and developing 3D models of food processing machinery and machine components.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop accurate 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.
- Create and modify machine components, sheet-metal parts, and assemblies.
- Prepare detailed dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and BOMs.
- Convert design concepts and sketches into detailed engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and engineering teams.
- Modify existing machine designs based on production requirements.
- Ensure drawings follow proper engineering standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain and organize CAD drawings, models, and technical documentation
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Good knowledge of SolidWorks 3D modeling and assembly.
- Ability to understand mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of sheet-metal design and fabrication is an advantage.
- Knowledge of machine design and mechanical components is preferred.
- Valuable understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and engineering standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as with the production team.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
