Overall Job Purpose

This is an RFP Writer position within M&G;'s Global RFP Team, focused on supporting the Fixed Income asset class. The individual will be responsible for producing high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs for institutional and wholesale opportunities across M&G;'s fixed income strategies, including investment grade, high yield, emerging markets, government bonds, ABS, and multi-sector/unconstrained strategies.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity within the Global RFP Team for an RFP Writer to support M&Gs; Fixed Income asset class, focusing on the production of high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs for large-scale wholesale and institutional opportunities.

The role offers exposure to M&Gs; core Fixed Income strategies, including investment grade, high yield, emerging markets, government bonds, ABS and our multi-sector unconstrained and flexible strategies.

The successful candidate will be flexible in supporting all strategies across the Fixed Income platform and will have opportunities to support M&Gs; wider asset classes as required.

We are seeking an individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will bring a proactive, inquisitive and enthusiastic approach to RFP work, with a genuine motivation to learn and develop expertise across M&G;’s Fixed Income business.

This role provides the opportunity to further develop writing, analytical and interpersonal skills, while working closely with a high-performing, collaborative and supportive RFP team.

The RFP Writer will collaborate with teams across M&G;, contribute to team strategy, and support the continued success of our awardwinning and growing Fixed Income business.

Key Responsibilities for this role:





- Delivery of high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs on M&G; funds across the Wholesale and Institutional businesses.
- Liaise with investment specialists, directors, content writers, compliance, performance and risk departments etc. and a variety of other sources within M&G; to ensure responses are optimal and tailored appropriately.
- Participate in wider team projects involving the content database (RocketDocs) as well as ad-hoc projects to build the team's profile around the business.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance current processes and controls and support in the improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G;’s operational risk.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification Knowledge & Skills & Experience:

- 12+ years experience of working in asset management in an RFP role
- Should have Fixed Income experience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple RFP projects simultaneously, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Good creative writing skills and good grammar/authoring; Ability to write in a clear, concise manner.
- Confident liaising with stakeholders of varying seniority and the ability to build good working relationships by understanding needs and requirements.
- Knowledge of Q&A; databases is preferred (RocketDocs).
- Proficient in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to write for multiple audiences and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and control multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative to improve RFP processes and content.
- Ideally IMC qualified or working towards this or other relevant qualifications.
- Education Requirements:
- Educated to degree level, with a postgraduate or skilled qualification preferred.
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) within asset management, with deep exposure to DDQs, consultant databases, RFP processes and client servicing.
