To support the Quality Department in maintaining product quality, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and drawings, conducting inspections, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished components as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, surface-finish requirements, and inspection standards.
- Perform dimensional inspection using instruments such as:
- Vernier caliper
- Micrometer
- Height gauge
- Bore gauge
- Dial gauge
- Thread gauges
- Plug/ring gauges
- Profile projector/CMM, where applicable
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
- Carry out first-piece, in-process, and final inspection.
- Verify critical dimensions and special characteristics as specified in control plans.
- Support rejection analysis and identify the root cause of quality problems.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production, CNC/VMC operators, Tool Room, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor process quality and ensure operators follow approved inspection methods and work instructions.
- Maintain calibration status of measuring instruments and ensure instruments are used within their validity period.




- Support preparation and maintenance of inspection standards, check sheets, control plans, and quality documents.
- Identify non-conforming components and ensure proper segregation and identification.
- Assist in handling customer complaints and preparing corrective-action reports such as 8D, where required.
- Conduct process audits and product audits as assigned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S and safety requirements in the quality and production areas.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System and applicable customer requirements.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes is preferred.
- Good knowledge of measuring and inspection instruments.
- Ability to identify dimensional and visual defects.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools such as:
- 7 QC Tools
- 5 Why Analysis
- Fishbone Analysis
- Pareto Analysis
- CAPA
- 8D
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to work effectively on the shop floor.
