About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and academically oriented Assistant Professor – Human Resources to join our full time faculty team. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, guiding and developing MBA/PGDM students across core and contemporary HR subjects.

The ideal candidate should have strong conceptual knowledge of Human Resource Management, practical industry exposure or academic experience, and the ability to connect classroom concepts with real-world HR practices.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

- Deliver engaging classroom sessions for MBA and PGDM students across various HR subjects.
- Teach both core HR and contemporary HR topics relevant to management education.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, case studies, assignments, quizzes and other academic content.
- Use practical examples, industry cases, simulations and experiential learning techniques.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, presentations and continuous assessments.
- Keep course content updated with the latest HR practices, technology and industry trends.

Student Mentoring & Development
- Mentor MBA/PGDM students and support their academic and professional development.
- Guide students on career opportunities and career paths in HR.
- Mentor students for internships, live projects, research projects and final placements.
- Conduct career guidance and employability sessions.
- Help students develop skills required for HR roles in corporate organizations.
- Provide individual guidance to students facing academic or career-related challenges.
- Support placement preparation through mock interviews, resume building and HR interview preparation.

Industry & Academic Engagement
- Bring current HR industry practices and organizational case studies into classroom teaching.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, guest lectures, conferences and industry interaction initiatives.
- Build relationships with HR professionals and organizations for student learning and industry exposure.
- Contribute to academic research,



publications and institutional initiatives where required.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources / Management / Business Administration from a reputed institution.
- Candidates with MBA/PGDM in HR will be preferred.
- Prior experience in teaching HR subjects at MBA/PGDM level will be an advantage.
- Candidates with relevant corporate HR experience along with strong academic orientation are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, presentation and classroom management skills.
- Ability to mentor and connect with management students.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices and industry trends.
- Should be comfortable using technology-enabled teaching methods and digital learning tools.
- PhD/UGC-NET/SET qualification will be an added advantage, where applicable.

Candidates should be able to combine academic knowledge with practical HR applications and effectively prepare students for careers in HR across recruitment, HR operations, talent management, L&D;, HRBP, compensation, employee relations, HR analytics and strategic HR.
