We are looking for an experienced Android Test Developer with strong expertise in Android instrumentation testing to work on Chrome Android test automation and open-source Chromium code.

Key Responsibilities:

- Modify and maintain Android instrumentation tests within the Chromium repository.

- Migrate existing tests from Espresso and other test helpers to the Public Transit framework.

- Develop test-specific classes to model Android UI states such as screens, dialogs and visual elements.

- Enhance the Public Transit framework when required to support test migration.

- Ensure tests remain reliable across emulators, real devices and multiple Android versions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve test failures, compilation issues, flakiness and performance regressions.

- Maintain or improve test readability, reliability and execution performance.





- Participate in code reviews and ensure changes meet quality standards.

Mandatory Skills:

- Solid hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin.

- Strong knowledge of Android SDK.

- Experience with Android Instrumentation Testing.

- Hands-on experience with Espresso.

- Good understanding of Gradle and Git.

- Experience developing or maintaining Android UI automation tests.

Good to Have:

- Chromium / open-source development experience.

- AndroidX Test.

- Page Object Model or similar UI test frameworks.

- Experience debugging and reducing flaky tests and improving CI stability.

- Experience with Android test automation across different devices and Android versions.
