Role & responsibilities
SQE - Plastic:
- Responsible for Development of Plastic Components right from Design to Finished Product and Handover to Production Plant.
- Designed and Developed Plastic molds for Automotive Application (Injection, Blow, Transfer & Compression mold).
- Can Understand and Visualize the problems (Part & Assembly Level) at Design & Feasibility stage and suggest Improvements.
- Positive Knowledge of Injection moldings Process and can Validate and establish the Process during Development and Part Qualification at Supplier End.
- Expertise in Analysis of moldings Concepts and Design using Simulation tools such as Auto Desk Moldflow, Moldx3D Expert or similar.
- Can Analyze Simulation reports and suggest changes to guarantee first time right part/product Quality.
- Knowledge of Engineering Plastic Material and its Application.
- Knowledge of Painting Process on Plastic Parts.
- Understanding of APQP Process, Develop Control Plans and can complete the PPAP Efficiently and Effectively.
- Support Plant Quality in analyzing Quality issues in the Plastic Parts and Suggest Solutions.
- Demonstrate Written / Verbal Presentation and Communication Skills.
SQE - Sheetmetal:
- Develop sheet metal, tubular, and welded assemblies for 2-wheeler applications.
- Knowledge of Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T;, and BOM using CAD software such as CATIA, Creo, or NX.
- Perform feasibility studies considering manufacturing processes such as stamping, bending, hydroforming, tube bending, laser cutting, welding, and assembly.
- Develop components such as chassis brackets, frame members, engine mounts, footrest brackets, carrier assemblies, stands, crash guards, battery brackets, and other structural parts.
- Coordinate with CAE teams for structural analysis, durability, vibration, and fatigue validation.
- Work with suppliers during tooling development, prototype manufacturing, APQP, PPAP, and production readiness.
- Review welding fixtures, jigs, tooling concepts, and manufacturing processes.
- Support prototype builds, testing, design validation, and issue resolution.
- Drive value engineering, weight reduction, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, DFM/DFA studies, tolerance stack-up analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, automotive regulations, and quality requirements.
- Manage engineering changes (ECN/ECR) throughout the product lifecycle.
