Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to join our Accounts & Finance team. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of TDS, Professional Tax (PT), Provident Fund (PF), GST, payroll-related accounting, and day-to-day accounting operations.
The candidate should be well-versed in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns.
- Manage Professional Tax (PT) calculations, deductions, payments, and compliance.
- Handle Provident Fund (PF) calculations, monthly contributions, payments, and related compliance.
- Assist with payroll processing, including salary calculations and statutory deductions.
- Maintain employee salary and attendance-related accounting records.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, ledgers, and other accounting documents.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliation.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and statutory compliance.
- Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Coordinate with HR regarding salary, attendance, employee deductions, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure all statutory payments and returns are completed accurately and within the prescribed deadlines.
- Assist senior management and the finance team with accounting-related reports and requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong practical knowledge of TDS, PT, and PF is essential.
- Good understanding of payroll and statutory deductions.
- Knowledge of GST and basic income-tax compliance will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and maintaining financial records.
- Experience with Tally / accounting software is preferred.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Positive attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet statutory deadlines
The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized, accurate, and responsible, with hands-on experience in managing accounting activities and statutory compliances. Candidates who have independently handled TDS, PT, PF, payroll, and day-to-day accounting will be preferred.
