About The Role The Senior Accountant role at NCS & Co is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves managing end-to-end accounting activities for clients, including maintaining general ledgers, managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes.

The Senior

Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting tax computations and filings, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role requires working closely with clients to understand their financial processes, supporting audits, and contributing to building scalable finance functions and transaction readiness. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will mentor junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams,



and support the implementation of technology-driven improvements in finance operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Chartered Accountant firm or similar environment.
- Experience with statutory compliance, tax computations, audit support, and application of relevant accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with technology-enabled finance processes.
- Ability to analyze financial data, prepare management reports, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Experience in mentoring or supervising junior accounting staff and contributing to team development initiatives.
- Semi-qualified Chartered Accountants or CA-Articleship completed candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end accounting activities, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Support tax computations, filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns, ensuring timely submissions.
- Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.




- Collaborate with clients to understand their financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.
- Contribute to building scalable finance functions and transaction readiness for clients.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Support the integration of technology solutions to streamline finance operations and improve reporting accuracy.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance across all activities.
