Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Leadership:

- Plan and drive the engineering strategies for the eCommerce platform to ensure it supports business goals and optimizes customer experience.
- Define technical goals and set direction for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Provide leadership to engineering departments, ensuring the integration of best practices across design, development, and deployment processes.

Research & Design Management:

- Oversee the research and design of new eCommerce technologies, architecture, and platforms, guiding teams on innovations and cutting-edge solutions.
- Lead architectural decisions for eCommerce platform scalability, security, and performance to accommodate business growth.

Team Management & Mentorship:

- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, guiding them in both technical skills and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture that empowers engineers to contribute to the success of eCommerce projects.
- Encourage a focus on agile methodologies and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Implementation & Execution:

- Create and manage comprehensive implementation plans for engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery of eCommerce solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, UX/UI, business, and marketing) to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.

Expert Advice & Technical Guidance:

- Provide expert advice and technical direction to other engineers, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and standards.
- Solve complex engineering problems,



offering innovative solutions to challenges faced by the engineering team.

Budgeting & Resource Allocation:

- Manage the engineering budget for eCommerce-related projects, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with business priorities.
- Collaborate with leadership on resource allocation and project funding to ensure the engineering team has the necessary tools and support for success.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

- Monitor industry trends and evolving technologies, providing recommendations for incorporating innovations into the eCommerce platform.
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes to optimize performance, security, and efficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions within eCommerce, web development, or related domains.
- Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in eCommerce technologies, including front-end and back-end systems, cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices architecture, API integrations, and databases.
- Leadership & Management: Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring engineering teams, with excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Financial Acumen: Experience with budget management and cost optimization for engineering projects.
- Cutting-edge Mindset: Ability to drive innovation and stay current with new technologies, trends, and best practices in eCommerce and software development.
