Draftsman (MicroStation) Civil Infrastructure Projects

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Draftsman MicroStation with strong experience in civil infrastructure projects to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering drawings, layouts, and detailed drawings using MicroStation, in accordance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D civil infrastructure drawings using MicroStation.
- Develop plans, profiles, sections, layouts, and detailed drawings for infrastructure projects.
- Interpret engineering sketches, design drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Design Engineers, Project Managers, and other disciplines to ensure accurate drawings.
- Incorporate design changes and revisions into drawings as required.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and applicable authority requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, layers, references, title blocks, and revisions.
- Prepare drawings for roads, utilities, drainage, stormwater, earthworks, and other infrastructure works, as applicable.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, and consistency before submission.




- Maintain drawing registers and document revisions in coordination with the project team.
- Support the engineering team in preparing drawings for tender, construction, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants when required to address drawing-related comments and revisions.

Requirements

- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- 37 years of relevant experience as a Civil Draftsman, preferably within infrastructure projects.
- Solid hands-on experience with MicroStation is mandatory.
- Experience in civil infrastructure projects, preferably roads, utilities, drainage, or related works.
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of drafting standards, drawing preparation, and document control.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and engineering teams is an advantage.
- UAE / GCC project experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Proficiency in MicroStation / Open Roads will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy
