You will be responsible for the following:

- Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, with a strong interest in environmental sciences and sustainable water management.
- Experience delivering Nature-based Solutions (NbS) projects in one or more of the following areas:
- Water and wastewater treatment
- Hydrology and water resources management
- Natural and constructed wetlands
- River restoration and rehabilitation
- Catchment and watershed management

- Strong understanding of NbS principles, processes, and design methodologies,



including wetland systems and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and environmental engineers to develop integrated and sustainable design solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to contribute across all phases of project delivery.

Candidate Specification

- Ability to apply numerical analysis techniques and fundamental engineering principles to solve complex environmental and water-related challenges.
- UK and/or international experience in the planning, design, and implementation of Nature-based Solutions strategies.
- Experience using GIS, spatial analysis and mapping tools, and undertaking hydraulic, hydrological, or scour assessments.
- Qualified consultancy experience supporting the successful delivery of NbS, water, or environmental projects.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and best practices related to water, environment, and sustainability.
- Passion for innovation and a strong commitment to supporting the growth and development of Mott MacDonald's Nature-based Solutions service offering.
- Membership of, or progress towards professional registration with, an appropriate institution such as ICE, CIWEM, IEnvE, IChemE, or IWA.
