Qualification BE (Mech)

Preferred industry- Automotive Manufacturing Industry

Experience 4 -8 years

Location Chennai

Job Purpose:
Responsible and accountable for ensuring on time sourcing, commodity buyer, commodity leads, commercial finalization and Part development as per timelines in close co-ordination with cross functional team
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Identification for various commodities Castings, Forgings, Machining, Sheetmetal, Plastics
2. RFQ management
3. On time sourcing within targets
4. Material Cost Reduction through Negotiation, Alternate sourcing, VAVE and Localization
5. Lead Part development and Supplier development
6. Driving and ensuring Purchasing deliverables until PPAP and launch
7. Exploring recent suppliers as per Commodity requirements
8. Managing Engineering changes as per the Program requirements
9. Vendor rationalization
10. Managing Raw material price movements
11. Capacity enhancement

1. Cost reduction
2. On Time Sourcing and Development of parts
