Job Title: ServiceNow Technical Architect

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Technical Architect with 10+ years of IT experience, including extensive hands-on expertise in ServiceNow architecture, platform development, and enterprise solution design. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical background in ServiceNow and a strong ability to lead the design and implementation of scalable, integrated solutions across complex enterprise environments.
As a ServiceNow Technical Architect, you will be responsible for defining the technical vision, platform standards, and architectural direction of our ServiceNow ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide technical delivery, and ensure alignment with business goals while adhering to platform best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Strategy

- Design end-to-end ServiceNow architecture solutions across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, and other modules.
- Define platform standards, development frameworks, data models, and architectural governance processes.
- Evaluate current ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices to guide platform evolution and strategic investments.

Solution Design & Technical Leadership

- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable ServiceNow solutions and integrations.
- Lead technical discovery and architecture workshops with stakeholders and process owners.
- Provide solution blueprints and technical documentation to support platform development and ongoing enhancements.

Development Oversight & Governance





- Oversee and guide development teams in the implementation of ServiceNow applications, custom modules, workflows, and scripts.
- Ensure adherence to platform best practices, code quality standards, and security/compliance requirements.
- Lead code reviews and provide expert-level support for complex issues related to architecture, scripting, or integrations.

Integration & Automation

- Design and implement robust integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST, SOAP, JDBC, and MID Servers.
- Define integration architecture, including authentication, error handling, and performance optimization.
- Leverage ServiceNow automation capabilities (Flow Designer, Orchestration, Integration Hub) to streamline business processes.

Platform Optimization & Maintenance

- Manage the health, scalability, and performance of the ServiceNow platform, including instance upgrades and patching.
- Monitor system logs, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize platform configurations to prevent issues.
- Enforce security policies and access controls aligned with enterprise IT governance.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for ServiceNow projects and platform initiatives.




- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to align solutions with organizational goals.
- Mentor developers and administrators on architectural principles and ServiceNow best practices.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of IT experience, with 7+ years of dedicated ServiceNow experience in development and architecture.
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect, including hands-on leadership of large-scale implementations.
- Deep expertise across core ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalog, etc.).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) Required.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Required.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more modules Preferred.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting (server-side and client-side).
- Expertise in designing and deploying REST/SOAP-based integrations and using IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and Orchestration.
- Strong understanding of CMDB design and maintenance, data governance, and service mapping.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, sprint planning, and working with distributed teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Certifications

- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification
- ServiceNow CIS (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps)
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) highly desirable
