Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Talend Developer with 7+ years of experience in data integration, ETL development, and data engineering. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration, SQL, ETL processes, and working with various databases and data sources.

Mandatory / Preferred Skills:

Data Integration & ETL Development:

- Design and implement ETL solutions using Talend Data Integration (Open Studio).
- Integrate data from diverse sources such as databases, APIs, flat files etc.
- Apply best practices for data cleansing, validation, transformation and auditing.

Data Pipeline Management:

- Build and maintain robust and scalable pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing.
- Implement monitoring, alerting and logging for production pipelines

TAC (Talend Administration Center):

- Manage deployments, schedules, execution logs, and monitoring within Talend Administration Center (TAC).
- Set up execution tasks, job scheduling, resource allocation and error recovery.
- Perform environment promotion, job versioning, and dependency management via TAC

SAP Data Integration :

- Design and implement ETL workflows to extract data from SAP systems using Talend SAP connectors, IDoc, BAPI or intermediate flat files.
- Understand SAP data structures, tables (e.g., MARA, BKPF, etc.),



and business logic to map and transform data effectively.
- Collaborate with SAP functional/technical teams to ensure clean and reliable data extraction

Runtime Environment & Deployment:

- Deploy, manage and monitor Talend jobs on Talend Runtime (JobServer or ESB Runtime).
- Ensure efficient and secure execution of jobs across multiple environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Production).
- Optimize memory and resource configurations for smooth job execution

SQL Development & Analysis:

- Write efficient SQL for data extraction, joins and transformations.
- Analyze, validate and troubleshoot data using advanced SQL queries across different platforms (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)

Java Development:

- Develop custom Java components and scripts to handle complex transformation logic and integration requirements.
- Seamlessly embed Java code in Talend jobs as needed for performance or customization.

Version Control :

- Use Git or similar tools for code management and collaborative development.
- Collaborate via pull requests, perform code reviews and resolve merge conflicts in a controlled and efficient manner

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows using Talend.
- Develop and optimize Talend jobs for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Integrate data from multiple sources such as databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud platforms.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures and production issues.
- Optimize Talend jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with business analysts,



data engineers, and other technical teams to understand data requirements.
- Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Support deployment of Talend jobs across development, testing, and production environments.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development and documentation standards.
- Prepare technical documentation for ETL processes and data flows
