We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Data Engnieer to join our data engineering team and drive the design, development and maintenance of scalable data solutions using Azure platform. This role requires expertise in up-to-date data engineering practices, Azure, Synapse, Databricks, Datafactory, Powerbi.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Engineer to remediate and support the existing Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) and Power BI reporting estate through the SAP ECC S/4HANA migration. The role ensures that ADF pipelines, Databricks, the Synapse data warehouse, and Power BI continue to deliver accurate, reconciled data as the source system moves to S/4 assessing migration impact, remediating affected components, and validating parity end to end.

Key Responsibilities

EDL Remediation Ingestion & Pipelines

Assess existing ADF pipelines and SAP Data Services / Databricks ingestion flows for impact from S/4HANA structural and semantic changes.

Remediate and re-point pipelines to migrated source structures; re-initialise deltas and full reloads where required.

Validate ingested data against source to confirm parity post-migration.

Data Processing & Modeling — Synapse

Remediate Synapse Dedicated SQL Pool data models and transformation logic affected by S/4 field, key, and org-structure changes.

Regression-test transformations; root-cause and resolve data-quality and reconciliation breaks.





Optimise remediated schemas for performance.

Reporting Layer Remediation — Power BI

Remediate Power BI datasets and reports impacted by upstream EDL changes.

Reconcile and validate report outputs against migrated data.

Support existing dashboards and reports; resolve defects raised during SIT/UAT.

Support & Documentation

Provide ongoing BAU support to the live EDL and PBI estate alongside remediation delivery.

Document remediated pipelines, workflows, models, and reports; maintain the impact/change register.

Work with [Accenture / EPAM / JDE] stakeholders to confirm remediation ownership boundaries and secure sign-off.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

Strong SQL and ETL/ELT experience (SAP Data Services, ADF).

Proficiency across Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Databricks.

Data modeling and Power BI reporting expertise, including reconciliation and regression validation.

Experience remediating or migrating existing data platforms (not just greenfield build).

SAP ECC / S/4HANA source experience strongly preferred; knowledge of APIs for data integration.

Good to have: Logic Apps, Function Apps, Power App

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and communication skills.

Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating across multiple delivery partners.

Experience

5+ years in data engineering or analytics.

Preferably prior Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or R&D; domain experience.

Azure certification (preferred).
