The Shift Incharge - Scrap Management is responsible for promoting safety and efficiency in scrap operations by establishing a zero harm culture, ensuring safe practices and training for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operators.
This role involves coordinating timely material issuance, maintaining accurate tracking, and implementing audit systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Effective communication with project teams for proper material handling and conducting daily inventory verifications to address discrepancies are also key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities of Role
Implement Zero Harm Culture: - Establish secure work practices and provide training for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operators to ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
Internal Process Compliance: - Ensure timely arrangement and issuance of materials to projects and operations, coordinating with the PPC and production teams to record all TR/TO materials in the system within 24 hours, while maintaining accurate tracking.
System-Oriented Approach: - Set up a compliance review mechanism and implement audit systems to ensure adherence to protocols, while adopting best practices for improved operational efficiency in scrap management.
Project Handling:
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure proper shifting and storage of materials, maintaining communication to address any material-related concerns.
Physical Verification of Inventory: - Conduct daily inventory verification to ensure stock accuracy, addressing any variances from internal and external audits promptly, and aiming for zero variance to maintain inventory integrity.
Safety and Compliance: - Ensure all scrap management activities adhere to safety regulations and environmental compliance standards, fostering a culture of safety among team members.

Qualifications and Experience

Work Experience (Range of years): - Min 2-5 years in scrap management and waste handling.
Proficient in scrap sorting, recycling, and compliance.
