Engineer to support our product quality and reliability goals through comprehensive failure analysis and materials testing. The role involves collecting, identifying, and preparing samples and interpreting results of advanced testing techniques such as microscopy and SEM, XPS the candidate will conduct thorough failure investigations, analyse data, and generate clear, actionable reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand process flows, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, identify and prepare samples for Testing (Microscopy/SEM etc.)
- Conduct detailed failure analysis investigations on products
- Create reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the process flow, identify and resolve failure trends based
- Perform risk assessments to prevent future failures
- Work with suppliers and to improve Test results /interpretation of results.
Qualifications: BE /Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent – 3+ Yrs Exp
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with failure analysis techniques, such as FMEA or RCA
- Hands on experience on any of the tests/tools listed SEM – EDS, FIB, TEM, X-ray ,CT Scan, ICPOES, Raman Spectroscopy, XPS, XRF Analysis
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sample handling preparation for metallography
- Experience with quality control and manufacturing processes of CNC, Surface treatment, Press, assembly etc.
