About the Company

Our client is a leading automotive and electric mobility company, backed by a reputed Indian automotive group and a global technology partner. The company focuses on the design, development and manufacturing of electric mobility solutions for the growing EV market.

The company manufactures traction motors, motor controllers and related electric mobility products for 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers and emerging 4-wheeler applications. It has a strong focus on localisation, advanced technology, product development and high-quality manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Supplier Quality Assurance activities for electrical, electronic, mechanical and automotive components.
- Drive supplier quality from new product development through SOP and series production.
- Coordinate with suppliers for APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA and Process Capability requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits, process audits and quality system assessments and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, PPM, rejection, customer complaints and delivery-related quality issues.




- Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA) for supplier quality issues using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone and other problem-solving techniques.
- Work closely with R&D;, NPD, Purchase, SCM, Production and Quality teams to resolve supplier-related issues.
- Support new supplier development, supplier selection and process validation for new projects.
- Ensure suppliers meet required quality standards, specifications and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement projects with suppliers to improve quality, reduce rejection and improve process capability.
- Monitor supplier process changes and ensure proper change management / 4M implementation.
- Support localisation and development of new suppliers for EV components.
- Prepare and review supplier quality reports and present supplier performance and improvement plans to management.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
- 610 years of experience in Supplier Quality / Vendor Quality / Quality Assurance within the automotive or automotive components industry.
- Experience in EV components, motors, controllers, electrical/electronic components or automotive components will be an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC and 8D.
- Experience in supplier audits and process audits.
- Good knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Good communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Candidates with experience in 2W/3W/4W automotive or EV component manufacturing will be preferred.
