IT BUSINESS APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST

2. POSITION IN COMPANY
This position reports to the Enterprise Applications Manager APAC, within the corporate IT
organization.

3. OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE OF JOB
The IT Business Applications Specialist is the primary on-site resource for ERP, MES, and business
application systems at the MRLP manufacturing facility. The role owns application-level support
and configuration for the plant's ERP and MES landscape, ensures accurate flow of manufacturing
data (BOM, production, inventory) between shop floor and enterprise systems, and acts as the
plant's IT point of contact
This role also carries baseline responsibility for general IT support and coordination of local
infrastructure issues escalating design-level or complex infrastructure matters to central IT rather
than owning them independently.

4. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES (ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
ERP & Business Applications Support (Primary Focus)
Provide on-site functional and application support for the plant's ERP platform- covering user
access, issue resolution, and configuration.
Own master data quality at the plant level BOM structures, item masters, routings, and
inventory data working with Production and Planning teams to keep data clean, structured,
and migration-ready ahead of the S/4HANA transition.
Coordinate and execute the physical stock take process from the ERP side: system freeze,
data upload, and opening balance validation.




Support ERPMES integration: validate transactional data flow between MES and ERP,
including production confirmations, inventory movements, and quality data.
Log, triage, and resolve business application tickets through Jira; escalate functional gaps or
vendor issues to the Enterprise Applications Manager.
Deliver on-site user training and adoption support for ERP, MES, and HRMS.
MES Deployment & Manufacturing Systems Support
Support plant-level MES deployment device/terminal setup, network connectivity, and
user onboarding in coordination with the MES Architect and selected MES vendor.
Validate that MES captures production data at each defined process step, in line with Project
core MES requirement.
Maintain working knowledge of the plant's production flow (BOM, routing, machine data)
sufficient to identify data gaps between shop floor and ERP/MES.

Strong ERP and manufacturing domain understanding able to engage production,
planning, and finance stakeholders on data and process requirements.




Able to translate shop-floor and business requirements into application configuration or
support actions.
Structured approach to problem diagnosis, escalation, and documentation across both
application and infrastructure-adjacent issues.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Telugu or Hindi is an advantage for
local user support.
Comfortable working in a cross-functional, multi-time zone team liaising with central IT
and business teams in India, Italy, and Poland.
Detail-oriented with respect to master data accuracy, configuration documentation, and
change management critical given the long-term S/4HANA migration dependency on
clean data.

Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Site-based role on-site
presence required.
Work Hours

Travel
Standard business hours, Monday to Saturday. Occasional flexibility
may be required to support project cutover activities or collaboration
with international IT teams.
Occasional travel within India may be required for project
workshops or team meetings (e.g., Hyderabad, Bangalore).
