Role & responsibilities

Role Summary

We are looking for an L1 Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Enterprise Asset Management Applications and strong Linux Administration skills. The candidate will be responsible for daily operations, monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting, security compliance, DR activities, and management reporting. Experience in preparing operational reports and working extensively with Excel is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Management Application Support

- Monitor and manage the Asset Management Application to ensure availability and performance.
- Must have experience in Asset Management Functional knowledge.
- Perform application health checks and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Handle user administration, access management, and application configurations.
- Monitor application services, logs, scheduled jobs, and integrations.
- Coordinate with L2/L3 teams for issue resolution and escalations.
- Maintain application documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

Linux Administration (Must Have)

- Administer and monitor Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux).
- Perform Linux installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
- Troubleshoot Linux OS, middleware, and application-related issues.
- Perform backup verification, restoration testing, and system health checks.
- Execute and support Linux Upgrade activities.

Security & Compliance (Must Have)

- Participate in Linux VAPT assessments.




- Analyze vulnerabilities and implement remediation actions.
- Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
- Maintain evidence and compliance reports for audits and reviews.

DR & Business Continuity (Must Have)

- Participate in DR Drill activities and failover/failback exercises.
- Validate Asset Management Application functionality during DR testing.
- Prepare DR reports, observations, and closure documentation.

Reporting & Documentation (Must Have)

- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Operational Reports.
- Generate Asset Inventory, Utilization, Availability, Incident, and Compliance Reports.
- Create dashboards, MIS reports, and management summaries.
- Maintain trackers for incidents, changes, vulnerabilities, upgrades, and DR activities.
- Prepare RCA documents, health-check reports, and audit reports.
- Maintain project and operational documentation.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- 3 to 5 years of experience in Linux Administration and Application Support.
- Good understanding of:
- Incident Management
- Change Management
- Problem Management
- Service Request Management

Mandatory Reporting & Excel Skills

- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- MIS & Management Reporting
- Data Analysis and Report Generation

- Ability to prepare and present operational reports to management and customers.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Tools.
- Exposure PostgreSQL

Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems
