Chemical Market Research Analyst Chemicals & Financial Intelligence Pune – 2+ Years

We are looking for a Chemical Market Research Analyst with 2–5 years of experience across chemical market research, consulting, market intelligence, or related sectors. The ideal candidate will bring strong understanding of chemicals/petrochemicals along with financial analysis, modelling, valuation, or investment research exposure. Candidates with MBA Finance, CFA, or equivalent financial qualifications and strong Advanced Excel/Power BI skills will be preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Conducting primary and secondary research across chemical, petrochemical, specialty chemical, polymer, and related markets.
2. Analysing market size, demand-supply dynamics, pricing trends, competitive landscapes, value chains, and industry developments.
3. Developing financial models, market forecasts, business cases, and investment-related analysis for chemical industry assignments.
4. Evaluating financial performance, profitability, cost structures, CAPEX/OPEX, and commercial feasibility of industry opportunities.
5. Conducting company and competitor analysis using financial statements, industry databases, company reports, and other credible sources.
6. Preparing research reports, financial analyses, presentations, dashboards, and client-ready insights.
7. Supporting valuation,



investment analysis, strategic assessment, and market opportunity evaluation activities.
8. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and presenting research and financial insights in a clear and structured manner.

Requirements

1. Possessing 2+ years of experience in chemical market research, consulting, market intelligence, investment research, strategy, or related fields.
2. Demonstrating experience across chemicals, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, polymers, fertilizers, or related industrial sectors.
3. Holding an MBA/PGDM in Finance, CFA qualification, or equivalent financial education; candidates with robust financial analysis exposure will also be considered.
4. Demonstrating strong knowledge of financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis, financial statements, profitability, and commercial analysis.
5. Possessing strong understanding of chemical industry dynamics, including demand-supply, pricing, production, value chains, and market trends.
6. Having hands-on proficiency in Advanced Excel; Power BI exposure will be preferred.
7. Demonstrating strong primary and secondary research, analytical, report writing, and data interpretation skills.

Possessing strong stakeholder communication and presentation capabilities.
