Job Summary
Responsible for managing HR legal and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, company policies, and regulatory guidelines. The role will support the organization in handling employee-related legal matters, labour compliance, documentation, notices, audits, and coordination with legal advisors and government authorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, employment laws, and statutory regulations.
* Monitor and maintain records related to labour law compliance, employee documentation, and statutory registers.
* Handle employee-related legal matters, disciplinary cases, show-cause notices, warning letters, termination cases, and domestic enquiries.
* Draft and review HR-related legal documents, agreements, notices, undertakings, and employment-related correspondence.
* Coordinate with legal counsel/advocates on employee disputes, labour cases, notices, and litigation matters.
* Ensure timely responses to legal notices and correspondence received from employees, authorities, or external agencies.
* Support management in cases related to misconduct, absenteeism, disciplinary action, termination,
and employee grievances.
* Coordinate with statutory authorities, labour departments, PF/ESI authorities, and other government bodies whenever required.
* Conduct periodic audits to identify HR legal and statutory compliance gaps and ensure corrective actions.
* Maintain proper records of legal cases, notices, agreements, compliance documents, and court/authority proceedings.
* Provide guidance to HR and management on employment-related legal risks and applicable regulations.
* Stay updated on changes in labour laws, employment regulations, and statutory requirements and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
* Assist in preparing reports and MIS related to HR legal and compliance matters.
* Required travel to pan India locations.
Required Qualifications
* Graduate degree in Law (LLB) preferred.
* Additional qualification in HR/Personnel Management will be an advantage.
* Robust knowledge of Indian labour laws and employment-related regulations.
Experience
* 0-5 years of relevant experience in HR Legal, Labour Law, HR Compliance, or Employee Relations.
