Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Export Merchandiser to manage the complete merchandising cycle for international garment orders—from order confirmation and product development through production follow-up, quality coordination, shipment, and buyer communication.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle end-to-end merchandising activities for export garment orders.

* Coordinate with international buyers regarding orders, specifications, samples, approvals, and production timelines.

* Study buyer tech packs, specifications, measurement charts, artwork, and other product requirements.

* Coordinate sample development, including proto, fit, PP and shipment samples.

* Prepare and maintain T&A; (Time & Action) calendars and ensure timely execution of all critical milestones.

* Coordinate with Design, Sampling, Production, QA, Fabric, Trims and Logistics teams.

* Follow up on fabric, trims, accessories and other raw materials to ensure timely availability.

* Monitor order status from order booking to shipment and highlight potential delays.

* Ensure products are manufactured according to approved samples, specifications and buyer requirements.

* Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and resolve quality-related issues.

* Prepare and maintain merchandising documents, order sheets, sample records and buyer approvals.





* Coordinate with the commercial/logistics team for shipment documentation and dispatch timelines.

* Maintain strong relationships with buyers and ensure timely communication and response to queries.

* Conduct regular production follow-ups and provide accurate order status updates to management.

* Identify potential production/order risks and take corrective action in coordination with relevant departments.

Required Skills & Competencies

* Strong knowledge of export garment merchandising processes.

* Good understanding of fabrics, trims, garments, construction and production processes.

* Knowledge of T&A;, costing, order execution and shipment procedures.

* Excellent follow-up and coordination skills.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Positive command of English, both written and verbal.

* Ability to manage multiple styles/orders simultaneously and work under deadlines.

* Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and email communication.

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Qualification

* Graduate in any discipline.

* Qualification in Fashion/Apparel/Textile Merchandising will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

* Candidates with experience in Garment Export Houses / Apparel Manufacturing / Buying Houses.

* Experience handling international buyers and export orders will be preferred.

* Should be proactive, organized and capable of independently managing assigned orders.
