Technical Program Manager Business Transformation
Location: Pune (Magarpatta)
Type: Full-Time
Role Overview
This is not a coordination role it's a technical leadership role at the heart of our organisation transformation programme. You'll bridge engineering depth with program rigor, translating complex technical architectures and system dependencies into executable roadmaps. You'll be trusted to understand the how, not just the when, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, business, operations, and customer teams to ship solutions that actually work at scale. Six months from now, you'll point to systems you helped architect the delivery of, technical debt you helped eliminate, and teams that run smoother because of the frameworks you put in place — and that's a kind of satisfaction a status report never gives you.
What You'll Own
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-system programs — from technical design through deployment and post-launch stability
- Identify and mitigate technical risks (integration issues, scalability limits, technical debt) before they become delivery risks
- Drive sprint/release planning, technical milestone tracking, and cross-team dependency management
- Lead root-cause analysis on technical escalations and drive resolution with engineering teams
- Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and system integrations that support scalable transformation
- Coordinate with vendors/partners on technical integrations, APIs, and third-party system compatibility
- Prepare technical status reports and translate engineering complexity for leadership and customer stakeholders
- Support technical pre-sales conversations and solution design for key customer accounts
- Translate technical architecture, system dependencies,
and engineering constraints into realistic program plans and roadmaps
- Partner directly with engineering leads on technical scoping, feasibility assessments, and trade-off decisions
Must-Have Skills
- Solid technical foundation — ability to read architecture diagrams, understand APIs/integrations, and hold credible technical conversations with engineers
- Proven program/project management fundamentals: planning, scheduling, risk management, dependency mapping
- Experience managing technical risk, technical debt, and system-level trade-offs
- Data analysis, technical reporting, and fluency with PM/engineering tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Git-based workflows, Excel)
- Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, operations, and customer-facing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication — able to simplify deep technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders
- Process improvement mindset with attention to quality, regulatory, and compliance standards
Nice-to-Have
- Hands-on or working knowledge of SAP, packaged enterprise applications, or CRM platforms — a strong plus given the systems-heavy nature of this role
- Background in telecom, IoT, transportation, smart city, or infrastructure/embedded systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, system integrations, or DevOps practices
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or SAFe certification
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or related field. Prior experience in a technical/engineering role before moving into program management is highly valued
.
Diversity & Inclusion
We actively encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Diversity strengthens our engineering culture and our transformation journey.
