Role: Test Automation Engineer (C++)
Location: Bengaluru (JP Nagar), Karnataka
Work Model
- Hybrid (34 days from office, 1–2 days remote)
- Monday to Friday
- Indian holidays observed
Work Hours: 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM IST
This schedule ensures overlap with our US-based engineering team until 12:00 Noon ET.

Job Overview
C++ Test Automation Engineer with 3–6 years of experience to develop and maintain automated regression testing solutions for a C++ based product. The candidate will be responsible for building automation frameworks, reusable automation classes and components, scripts, and test cases to improve software quality, reliability, and test efficiency.
- Develop and maintain automated regression test suites for C++ applications.
- Design and develop automation classes, reusable components, test utilities, and frameworks using C++.
- Develop automation scripts using C++, Python, or Bash.
- Design and implement automated test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
- Automate functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Analyze test results, logs, and failures; debug issues and identify root causes.
- Develop utilities for test data generation, log collection, result analysis, and automated reporting.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to replace manual testing with automation and reduce regression execution time.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
- Participate in test planning, design reviews, peer code reviews, and defect triage.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in C++ software development and test automation.
- Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience developing automation frameworks, reusable classes/components, scripts, and test suites.
- Good understanding of functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Strong experience working in a Linux environment.
- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools such as GDB.
- Experience with Git, CMake, and software configuration management.
- Ability to analyze logs and investigate automation/test failures to determine the root cause.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in the following areas will be an added advantage:
- Python or Bash scripting for test automation.
- Experience with C++ testing frameworks.
- Experience designing automation frameworks and reusable automation libraries.
- Automation of embedded or hardware-dependent applications.
- Knowledge of RS-232, RS-485, SPI, UART, and other hardware communication protocols.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, and IPv6.
- Experience with Docker, Conan, and C++11/C++14/C++17.
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD automation.
- Familiarity with Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and related development tools.
- Knowledge of GCC, grep, awk, sed, systemd, and Linux command-line tools.
- Experience with automated test reporting, log analysis, and failure analysis.
- Exposure to embedded systems, ARM platforms, or microcontrollers.
- Experience with system-level automation.
