Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ETL Tester with strong experience in data validation, ETL testing, SQL, and database testing. The candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ETL workflows, data transformations, and ensuring data accuracy between source and target systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform ETL testing and validate end-to-end data pipelines.
- Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation.
- Validate data transformation rules, mappings, aggregations, and business logic.
- Perform data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity testing.
- Identify, analyze, and report data defects and inconsistencies.
- Work with developers, data engineers, and business teams to resolve defects.
- Perform ETL workflow/job validation and monitor failures.
- Participate in regression, integration, system, and functional testing.
- Validate incremental loads, full loads, and historical data.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and defect reports.




- Support troubleshooting of data issues across source, staging, and target layers.
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in sprint activities.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in ETL Testing / Data Testing.
- Solid hands-on experience with SQL.
- Good understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with source-to-target validation.
- Knowledge of ETL concepts such as:
- Extraction
- Transformation
- Loading
- Data mapping
- Data reconciliation
- Data validation

- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, or similar.
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries involving JOINs, subqueries, GROUP BY, CTEs, and analytical functions.
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, dimensions, facts, and ETL workflows.
- Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar.

Good to Have

- Experience with Snowflake / Databricks / Azure / AWS.
- Experience testing cloud-based data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Python for data validation/automation.
- Experience with API testing.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps processes.
- Banking / Financial Services domain experience.
