Purpose/Objective

Engineer - Electrical (ED) is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of electrical systems within the port.
This includes performing regular inspections, troubleshooting faults, and implementing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and support seamless port operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Electrical Systems Optimization: Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems, including HT/LT equipment, transformers, and control panels, to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems to avoid unscheduled downtime and address faults effectively through corrective actions.
Equipment Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of electrical systems, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems and activities comply with safety regulations and standards; implement and monitor protected work practices during maintenance and repairs.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve electrical system faults promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
Resource Management: Coordinate the availability of spare parts, tools,



and resources required for electrical maintenance activities.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and incidents; prepare and present reports to the management team.
Energy Management: Monitor and analyze energy consumption patterns and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce costs and enhance system performance.
Digital Mindset: Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.

Tech.
) Work Experience: Minimum3-5 years of experience in maintaining and troubleshooting HT and LT electrical systems in industrial or port settings.
