Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP Ariba Upstream Consultant with 4+ years of experience to join our growing IT/Procurement team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, implementation, template maintenance, and enhancement of our SAP Ariba Upstream modules. The ideal candidate possesses deep functional knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship workflows. You will collaborate closely with internal procurement stakeholders and technical teams to map processes, optimize configuration, and manage ERP integrations.

As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support end-to-end SAP MDG technical implementations.
- Design, configure, and extend standard and custom MDG data models.
- Build and configure rule-based workflows using BRF+.
- Design and customize MDG user interfaces using Web Dynpro ABAP and Floorplan Manager (FPM).
- Implement Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) to achieve complex validation and custom data governance logic.
- Setup Data Replication Framework (DRF) to integrate MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ERP ECC, and third-party systems.
- Translate functional business data requirements into high-performing technical designs.





Technical Skills & Qualifications

Experience

- Typically 4 to 10 years of core technical experience in SAP implementations.

ABAP Proficiency

- Expert knowledge in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP), ALE/IDoc, and BAPIs.

Domain Frameworks

- Hands-on experience with Material (MM), Business Partner (Customer/Supplier), and Financials (FI) data domains.

Methodologies

- Experience with Central Governance, Consolidation, and Mass Processing capabilities.

Mandatory skill sets

- 4+ years of hands-on functional experience with SAP Ariba implementations or application management support (AMS).
- Minimum of 1-2 end-to-end lifecycle implementations of Ariba Upstream modules.
- Ariba Suite: Deep expertise in Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, and SLP.
- SAP MM Integration: Robust foundation in core SAP Material Management (MM) concepts like purchasing and vendor master data.
- CIG Middleware: Practical experience managing integration flows and resolving payload errors via SAP CIG.

Soft Skills

- Strong client-facing skills to bridge communication between IT and business users.
- Adaptability to work in Agile or DevOps-led team frameworks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred skill sets: clm/sipm/ecc/cig
