Genpact Inviting applications for Specialist, Record to report role
Work location: Kolkata(Work from office)
Responsibilities
1.Review general accounting tasks (more on time card and Placement validation)
• Initiate time sheet collection (field/submitted by contractors)
• Follow-up for missing/incomplete time sheets
• Follow-up with Customer managers for time sheet approvals
• Reconcile hours (internally tracked vs. Customer tracked)
• Review the time sheet details before submission to payroll
• Document timesheet and audit requests (e.g. SOX Customer audits)
• Validate and review rates
2.Accounting & Financial Operations • Understanding of time cost payroll and billing flows within consulting or staffing industry
• Perform cost-to-bill reconciliations and validate rate cards or placements
• Knowledge of accruals revenue recognition and SOX/internal controls
• Skilled in payroll validation and discrepancy identification
3.Systems & Technical Proficiency
• Experience with Vendor Mgt. 4.Systems (Fieldglass Beeline Bullhorn) and ERP (PeopleSoft WorkDay)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivots lookups reconciliations)
• Extract and reconcile data across VMS Payroll ERP and CRM systems
• Familiar with system access controls and data accuracy management
4.Analytical & Process Control • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Perform hour rate and cost reconciliations between systems
• Document exceptions approvals and audit evidence
• Identify and resolve data variances or process gaps
5.Customer & Communication Skills • Excellent written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams
• Manage follow-ups approvals and escalations professionally
• Collaborate effectively with Sales HR Billing and Customer Managers
• Maintain customer focus while ensuring financial control
6.Organizational & Behavioral Skills • Meet weekly payroll and billing deadlines consistently.
• Strong organizational skills managing multiple priorities.
• Show accountability and ownership for assigned work.
• Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced client-driven environment.
7. Ensuring monthly checklists are completed without exception and that all trackers are maintained as requested including those pertaining to withholding tax rates per country
• Preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports as requested by management
• Following adequate rules policies procedures and instructions
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors/Masters in Finance/Accounting.
• Experience in technology consulting skilled services or staffing preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• IT skills: ERP (PeopleSoft/Workday) MS Office Preferably Workday ERP
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot VLOOKUP Graphs)

• Demonstrates the ability to analyze information identify problems and recommend solutions.

• Demonstrates the ability to identify and understand customer needs take appropriate actions to ensure customer needs are met.
