JOB DESCRIPTION SR. ENGINEER OPERATIONS

Location: MHC Conveying Systems Pvt. Ltd., Head Office Sector V, Salt lake, Kolkata

Industry: Heavy Fabrication | Structural Steel | Pressure Vessels | Tanks | Industrial Ducting | Piping | Process Equipment

Experience: 8 to 10 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel. ERP/MRP exposure preferred. AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.

Job Summary: This is a Production Planning & Control (PPC) role responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring all fabrication activities to ensure timely execution and delivery. The role acts as the central coordination point between Design, Production, QA/QC, Stores,
Purchase and Dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare master, weekly and daily production schedules.
• Monitor work-in-progress and identify bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Design, Stores, Purchase, QA/QC and Production.
• Plan manpower, machine loading and fabrication sequence.




• Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly MIS.
• Develop recovery plans for delayed projects.
• Ensure timely availability of drawings and materials.
• Drive adherence to customer delivery commitments.
• Conduct production review meetings and escalate critical issues.

Preferred Industry Experience:
Heavy Fabrication, Steel Structures, Industrial Ducting, Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Piping, Process Equipment, Material Handling Equipment. Experience working on EPC projects for customers such as L&T;, Tata Projects, BHEL, NTPC, IOCL, JSW, Adani, Vedanta or similar organizations will be preferred.
