Role & responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain SAP Native HANA data models and analytical solutions.
- Develop Graphical Calculation Views and SQLScript Calculation Views.
- Develop and maintain SQLScript, Table Functions and Stored Procedures.
- Design data models using:
- Joins
- Star Joins
- Projections
- Aggregations
- Unions
- Calculated Columns
- Restricted Columns

- Work with Input Parameters, Variables and Hierarchies.
- Implement Currency Conversion and Unit Conversion.
- Develop reusable and optimized semantic models for reporting and analytics.
- Implement complex business logic using SQLScript and push-down processing.
- Design and maintain Schemas, Column Store Tables and Partitions.
- Implement Analytical Privileges, Roles and User Management.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation and troubleshooting.

Performance Tuning

- Analyze and optimize Calculation Views, SQLScript procedures and database queries.
- Perform Execution Plan analysis and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize large-volume data processing and query performance.
- Apply performance optimization techniques such as:
- Partitioning
- Data Pruning
- Efficient Join Strategies
- Aggregation Optimization
- Query Optimization

- Troubleshoot production performance issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Support critical HANA applications and coordinate with SAP Support/OSS when required.

Preferred candidate profile

- 69 years of hands-on experience in SAP Native HANA Development and Modelling.
- Strong experience in SAP HANA Calculation Views.




- Strong hands-on experience with Graphical Calculation Views.
- Strong experience in SQLScript.
- Experience with SQLScript Calculation Views.
- Strong experience with Table Functions and Stored Procedures.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Studio / HANA Modelling Tools.
- Strong knowledge of HANA Database and Data Modelling.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
- Experience with Execution Plans and performance analysis.
- Good understanding of Partitioning and Data Pruning.
- Experience with Input Parameters, Variables, Hierarchies, Calculated Columns and Restricted Columns.
- Knowledge of Currency and Unit Conversions.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modelling and Star Schema concepts.
- Experience working with large-volume datasets and enterprise reporting environments.
- Robust analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with SAP HANA analytical/reporting environments.
- Experience in production support and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience handling SAP OSS incidents.
- Knowledge of enterprise reporting architectures.

Important

This is a Native SAP HANA Development/Modelling role. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in Calculation Views, SQLScript, Table Functions and HANA Performance Tuning.

Candidates whose experience is primarily in SAP BW/BW4HANA, HANA Administration/Basis, SAP ABAP, or reporting tools without strong Native HANA development experience may not be suitable.
