Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Operational Quality Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and build the QA/QC team across Raw Material Inspection, In-Process Quality, Heat Treatment Quality, Final Inspection, and Customer Quality.
- Define and execute the companys quality strategy, policies, and KPI targets (e.g., PPM reduction, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), scrap rate reduction, First Time Right (FTR)).

2. Sprocket & Manufacturing Quality Control

- Oversee quality standards across core manufacturing processes: Blanking, Machining (CNC/VMC/Broaching), Tooth Hobbing/Shaping, Heat Treatment (Induction Hardening/Carburizing), Surface Treatment/Coating, and Stamping.
- Oversee critical metallurgical testing, case depth/hardness profiles, grain structure analysis, and dimensional accuracy (runout, tooth profile, circularity).

3. OEM & Customer Quality Management





- Act as the primary point of contact for Tier-1 and Tier-2 OEM quality audits, technical discussions, and resolving quality issues.
- Drive swift, structured root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for non-conformances (internal and customer-reported).
- Standardize PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions, APQP activities, and engineering change requests (ECN/ECR).

4. Systems, Audits & Continuous Improvement

- IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001, and OEM-specific standards (e.g., VDA 6.3, TPM, 5S).
- Utilize Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) to establish robust Quality Gates on the shop floor.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) to reduce cycle times and waste.
