JD for Network Engineer Operations

Key Responsibilities:

Network Operations Management:

o Assist in configuring and maintaining Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and
firewalls.
o Perform basic network provisioning and configuration changes as per guidelines.
o Monitor network performance using network management tools.
o Perform initial troubleshooting of network issues and escalate to L2/L3 support
as needed.
o Provide first-level support for network-related incidents.
o Document network issues, solutions, and processes accurately.
o Assist in implementing network security policies and procedures.
o Support firewall rule management and network security practices.
o Work closely with senior network engineers and other IT teams to support
network projects.




o Participate in network deployment and upgrade projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
o Basic knowledge of Juniper (Junos OS) and Cisco (IOS/NX-OS) network
devices.
o Understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
o Familiarity with switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, Virtual Chassis).
• Certifications:
o Preferred: JNCIA (Juniper Networks Certified Associate) and/or CCNA (Cisco
Certified Network Associate).
• Soft Skills:
o Good communication and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work in a team-oriented and rapid-paced environment.
• Experience:
o 0-3 years
