CNC Turnmill Operator – Job Description

Department: Machine Shop

Position: CNC Turnmill Operator

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical

Responsibilities

Operate CNC Turnmill machines independently.

Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens controller preferred.

Read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.

Perform OD/ID turning, drilling, threading, grooving, tapping and live-tool milling.

Set tools, work offsets and make required wear-offset corrections.

Use Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and other measuring instruments.

Maintain required quality, cycle time and production quantity.

Monitor tool life and control rejection/rework.

Follow machine safety, PPE and 5S requirements.

Report machine, tooling or quality issues to the Supervisor.

Preferred Candidate: Responsible, quality-conscious operator with valuable practical CNC Turnmill knowledge and ability to work in shifts.
