Job Description – Technical Support Engineer (Warehouse Management System)

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Technical Support Engineer to provide L1/L2 support for our Warehouse Management System (WMS). The ideal candidate should have strong SQL Server knowledge, experience in application support, database troubleshooting, Windows Server administration, and excellent client communication skills. The role involves production support, issue resolution, deployment assistance, and ensuring smooth operation of mission-critical warehouse applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L1/L2 technical support for Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application, database, and server-related issues.
- Perform SQL Server database backup, restoration, and routine maintenance.
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and joins.
- Coordinate with clients and internal development teams for timely issue resolution.
- Monitor application health, Windows services, scheduled jobs, and system performance.
- Support software deployments, patch verification, and release activities.
- Maintain incident logs, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and technical documentation.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production support, and go-live activities.
- Provide remote support to customers and ensure adherence to SLA timelines.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and follow up until closure.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft SQL Server or Windows Administration are an added advantage.

Experience

- Experience: 1–2 years in Application Support, Technical Support, or WMS Support.
- Freshers with excellent SQL knowledge and strong technical aptitude may also be considered.
