We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and manage the complete Indian accounting function. This role requires strong expertise in accounting operations, GST and TDS compliance, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closures, and team management.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting accuracy, strengthening financial controls, improving processes, and ensuring timely and compliant financial operations. You will also work closely with auditors, tax consultants, management, and internal stakeholders to support sound financial decision-making.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete Indian Accounting function and oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
- Supervise, train, mentor, and support accountants and senior accounting professionals.
- Review bookkeeping activities, accounting entries, ledgers, and financial records for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage GST compliance, including return filing, reconciliations, documentation, and related matters.
- Oversee TDS calculations, payments, return filing, and reconciliations.
- Review monthly and annual financial statements and support the finalization of accounts.
- Manage multi-currency accounting and inter-company transactions.
- Prepare and review MIS reports, management reports, financial analysis, and accounting insights.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and other external financial professionals.
- Establish and strengthen accounting controls, SOPs, review processes, and compliance procedures.




- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Handle accounting-related escalations and provide guidance and solutions to the team.
- Support management with financial reporting, planning, analysis, and decision-making.
- Take ownership of department performance, productivity, quality, compliance, and service delivery.

What's Makes You a Great Fit
- 4+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with strong exposure to Indian accounting operations.
- Proven experience leading or supervising an accounting team.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, reconciliations, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounts finalization.
- Experience managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting and statutory compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with multi-currency accounting and inter-company transactions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial data and identify discrepancies or process gaps.
- Experience preparing MIS and management reports and presenting meaningful financial insights.
- Ability to establish and maintain robust internal controls, SOPs, and accounting processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including experience working with auditors and external consultants.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong ownership mindset with a focus on accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to mentor team members, handle escalations, and drive accountability and high-quality execution across the accounting function.
