Security Officer – Job Description

Position: Security Officer
Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Steel / Fabrication / Engineering Plant

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of the plant, employees, visitors, and company assets.
- Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
- Supervise security guards and allocate duties across all shifts.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspect the plant premises for security risks.
- Prevent theft, unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security breaches.
- Maintain visitor registers, gate passes, and security records.
- Coordinate emergency response during fire, accidents, or other incidents.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with local police, fire department, and other authorities when required.




- Conduct security awareness training and emergency drills.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and security equipment.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate in any discipline (Retired Defence/Army personnel preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in plant/industrial security.
- Knowledge of industrial security procedures, fire safety, and emergency response.
- Positive leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Familiarity with CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and gate management.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
