Job Purpose

As a Power BI Specialist, your main responsibilities will include understanding end user’s needs, translating them into analytical models, creating interactive dashboards, reports, apps with Power BI, testing the deliverables, deploying the solution,



and ensuring knowledge transfer to end users.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Translate business requirements into explicit specifications for the ETL team to support data preparation and transformation.
- Use Power Query for data transformation and manipulation.
- Create and manage dataflows to automate data updates.
- Manage semantic models’ data refreshes.
- Write advanced DAX formulas for complex business calculations.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Implement dimensional modelling (star schema) for efficient data organization.
- Implement Power BI Row Level Security (RLS) to provide data access based on user roles.
- Organize backlog in the Jira ticketing tool.
- Write comprehensive documentation.
