Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to lead a large-scale transformation program involving the migration of SAS-based data platforms, ETL processes, reporting solutions, and analytical workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using DBT. The role requires solid leadership, data engineering expertise, stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience in cloud-based data modernization initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, technical governance, migration strategy, architectural oversight, and successful execution of multiple workstreams across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery

- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAS to GCP migration programs.
- Define migration roadmap, delivery approach, and execution strategy.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Ensure timely delivery of migration milestones and business objectives.
- Drive Agile delivery and release management processes.

Technical Leadership

- Provide technical direction for migration from SAS datasets, SAS ETL, SAS macros, and reporting solutions.




- Review and approve solution architectures, data models, and transformation designs.
- Establish migration standards, coding standards, and best practices.
- Guide teams on cloud-native architecture and modernization opportunities.

Data Engineering Oversight

- Oversee development of data pipelines using GCP services and DBT.
- Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
- Lead design reviews for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reporting layers.
- Drive implementation of data quality, lineage, and reconciliation frameworks.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary technical point of contact for business and technology stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architecture, regulatory, risk, compliance, and operational teams.
- Present project status, risks, and technical recommendations to senior leadership.
- Manage vendor and third-party engagements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field. 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
