Procurement & Sourcing:

- Procure materials and equipment required for T&D; EPC projects, including:
- Power Transformers
- Circuit Breakers
- Isolators
- CT/PTs
- Control & Relay Panels
- Conductors
- OPGW & Earth Wire
- Insulators
- Towers & Monopoles
- Hardware Fittings
- Cables & Cable Accessories
- Structural Steel
- Civil Construction Materials

- Floating RFQs/RFPs to approved vendors.
- Obtain competitive quotations and conduct techno-commercial evaluations.
- Prepare comparative statements and recommendations for procurement decisions.
- Finalize prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.

Vendor Management:

- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database.
- Conduct vendor qualification and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with approved vendors and OEMs.
- Identify alternate sources to optimize procurement costs and delivery timelines.
- Manage vendor relationships for long-term strategic sourcing.

Purchase Order Management:

- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved budgets and project requirements.
- Monitor order execution and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Follow up with suppliers for manufacturing progress, inspections, dispatch, and delivery.
- Handle amendments, variation orders, and contract changes.

Project Coordination:

- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Stores, and Finance departments.
- Ensure procurement aligns with project schedules and client requirements.
- Participate in project review meetings and procurement planning activities.
- Resolve material shortages and expedite critical supplies.





Logistics & Inspection Coordination:

- Coordinate third-party inspections and factory acceptance tests.
- Arrange dispatch clearances and logistics support.
- Monitor transportation and site delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper documentation including inspection reports, test certificates, and dispatch documents.

Cost Control & Compliance:

- Achieve cost savings through effective negotiations and strategic sourcing.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and contractual obligations.
- Monitor market trends for steel, aluminum, conductors, and electrical equipment.
- Support budgeting and cost estimation exercises.

Documentation & MIS:

- Maintain procurement records and supplier documentation.
- Prepare procurement status reports and MIS dashboards.
- Track open POs, pending deliveries, and payment status.
- Ensure timely submission of procurement reports to management.

Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent or MBA in supply chain management.
- Diploma holders with relevant EPC procurement experience may also be considered.

Experience:

- Purchase Executive: 2-5 Years
- Purchase Engineer: 5-10 Years




- Experience in Transmission & Distribution EPC projects is mandatory/preferred.
- Exposure to procurement of substation and transmission line materials.

- Familiarity with PGCIL, State Utilities, and DISCOM procurement requirements.
