Category Manager Dairy (Specialist)

Location: Bengaluru

Reporting To: Category Head Dairy

Experience: 6+ Years (Preferably with hands-on dairy category work experience)

Role Overview

We're looking for a Category Manager Dairy to own the end-to-end management of the dairy portfolio (milk, curd, paneer, cheese,

ghee, and adjacent SKUs)from sourcing and vendor/farmer relationships to assortment, pricing, and P&L; delivery.

This is an individual-contributor-to-small-team role for someone who understands the operational and quality nuances of dairy specifically,

not just category management in general.

What You'll Do

- Own the P&L; for the dairy category, including revenue, margins, wastage, and overall category contribution.
- Manage sourcing relationships with dairy farmers, cooperatives, and processors, including quality audits and cold-chain compliance.
- Build and continuously refine the dairy assortment.
- Lead vendor negotiations on pricing, commercial terms, and service level agreements.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Clubhouse Operations teams to manage shelf-life-sensitive inventory and minimize spoilage and

wastage.

- Track key category KPIs including sell-through, freshness compliance, customer complaints,



and repeat purchase rate, and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Quality and Tech teams to maintain product screening standards across every dairy SKU.
- Manage pricing and promotional calendars in coordination with the Marketing team.
- Stay closely aligned with consumer feedback and dairy market trends (input costs, seasonal supply shifts, emerging formats like A2

and organic dairy) to continuously optimize the assortment.

What We're Looking For

- 6+ years of experience in Category Management, Procurement, or category-facing Supply Chain roles.
- Prior experience in the dairy category is strongly preferred, including dairy FMCG, dairy cooperatives/processors, quick commerce or e-grocery dairy verticals, or dairy-focused D2C brands.
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills, including experience working with unorganized or farm-level suppliers.
- Comfortable owning category P&L; and making data-driven business decisions.
- Working understanding of FSSAI regulations and cold-chain/quality compliance for perishable products.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling startup workplace.
