Role Name: Lead Software Development Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Software Development Department Lead to spearhead our engineering initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of developers, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex multi-domain projects, and establishing technical excellence across the department. You will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and technical execution, ensuring that our creative solutions in Video Analytics, Fintech, and Hardware-Software communication are scalable, robust, and industry-leading.

Experience:

6-10 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial security standards and data compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

- Directly manage and mentor the software development team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Define resource requirements and lead recruitment efforts to scale the engineering department.

Project & Lifecycle Oversight

- Take full ownership of the end-to-end development lifecycle for all core projects, from initial architecture to final deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure technical debt is managed effectively while meeting critical business milestones.

Process Optimization

- DevOps Implementation: Establish and refine CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud infrastructure monitoring to increase deployment velocity and system reliability.
- Agile Evangelism: Foster and iterate upon Agile project development methodologies, ensuring sprints are well-structured and delivery is predictable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Deep technical expertise in JavaScript (Node.js/React/Vue), Java (Spring Boot), and PostgreSQL.
2. Expertise in relational DB like postgres or equivalent
3.



Exceptional system design knowledge with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
4. Expertise in camera integration, video encoding standards, real-time data streaming and processing, and designing scalable solutions for high-throughput video analytics.
5. Experience in FFMPEG and Gstreamer pipelines
6. Hands on experience in Docker , Linux and networking (TCP/UDP, HTTP, RPC and other protocols)
7. Strong experience with Edge server deployment and optimizing software for distributed environments.
8. Hands on experience in Deployments like Green Blue deployment and canary deployment
9. Hands on experience in monitoring and SLA Support and Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry monitoring stack
10. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with the complete SDLC and Agile frameworks.
11. Hands on experience in release management
12. Proven track record in a managerial or lead role, with experience building and scaling engineering teams.
