This is a hands -on internship prospect for college students to work on cutting -edge STEM DIY hardware kits, with a focus on PCB designing, embedded firmware development, sensor integration, and IoT -based systems.
This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about electronics, PCB design, embedded systems, and bringing innovation to education through hands -on STEM learning.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test PCBs for innovative STEM and IoT -based projects.
- Create and optimize schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using tools such as Fusion 360, Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar software.
- Program and debug microcontroller -based systems including Arduino, ESP32/ESP8266, STM, and related platforms.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, communication modules, and hardware components for real -world applications.
- Collaborate with the team to develop engaging STEM DIY learning kits, hands -on models, and project tutorials.
- Assist in hardware debugging, circuit testing, prototyping, and technical documentation.
- Support 3D design and enclosure development for electronic projects and operate 3D printers for prototyping.
- Participate in brainstorming and innovation sessions to enhance product features and educational value.
Key Skills Required
- Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Fusion 360, Altium, KiCad, or similar.
- Strong understanding of microcontrollers including Arduino, ESP, STM, and related platforms.
- Familiarity with communication protocols: I2C, UART, SPI.
- Experience with Embedded C / C++ programming.
- Understanding of circuit design, sensor integration, and basic hardware testing.
- Basic knowledge of 3D designing tools and 3D printer operation is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem -solving and debugging skills.
- Passion for STEM education, innovation, and DIY learning.
