- Design and develop automotive components and fluid assemblies from concept to production
- Support end-to-end product development lifecycle including design, validation, and launch
- Collaborate with customers, account managers, and platform teams to define product requirements
- Establish design parameters and manufacturing feasibility for automotive components
- Guide designers on fabrication, processing, and assembly considerations
- Execute and implement programs through APQP / AQP methodologies
- Create and approve engineering drawings, material specifications, and performance criteria
- Conduct failure mode analysis (DFMEA) and ensure design robustness
- Develop and execute design validation plans (DVP&R;) and testing reports
- Drive design standardization and simplification to improve cost and efficiency
- Coordinate prototype development, testing, and submission
- Ensure all engineering and program objectives are achieved within timelines
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering / product design engineering
- Solid expertise in automotive component design and fluid systems engineering
- Hands-on experience with DFMEA, DVP&R;, and APQP (AQP) processes
- Experience in design validation, failure analysis, and product testing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing feasibility and production processes
- Proficiency in engineering drawings, CAD tools, and design documentation
- Ability to manage end-to-end product development programs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in design engineering
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills with ability to work with global stakeholders and customers
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Automotive Tier-1 suppliers or OEM environment
- Exposure to fluid systems, fuel systems, or thermal management components
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to work across cross functional team (CFT)
- Experience in prototype development and testing coordination
- Early experience in program management or cross-functional leadership
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
