Role Description The VMC Operator is a full-time, in office position based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The role involves operating and monitoring Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to manufacture precision mechanical parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Typical tasks include machine setup, loading and unloading workpieces, selecting and changing tools, and adjusting machining parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.



The operator inspects components using measuring instruments, records production data, and collaborates with the quality and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Routine maintenance of machines, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean, organized work area are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications
Ability to operate and set up Vertical Machining Centers, including tool selection, offset adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, mechanical sketches, and machining process documents.
Experience using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
Knowledge of CNC machining practices, cutting parameters, and material properties relevant to precision manufacturing.
Work with M code and G code to operate and program VMC machines.
