Job Summary

Position: Senior Metallurgist R D (India)

Location: Hyderabad, India

Responsibilities

- Recommending material options for new product application
- Recommending manufacturing methods for metal parts
- Working with suppliers to develop processes for new product
- Investigating testing failure where it is suspected that the cause may be related to metallurgical failure
- Interpreting metallurgy testing report
- Controlling the metallurgical properties in shaping of metals parts through casting, rolling, forging and drawing
- Assist in monitoring quality standards in manufacturing and finishing for metal parts
- Assessing the physical structure and behavior of metals
- Writing documents, manuals, metallurgical investigations, and reports in support of design engineers
- Discussing different solutions to problems with other technical staff

Qualifications

- Candidate should have at least 6 years of experience. Position requires a Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science
- Expertise in physical and chemical testing, corrosion, failure analysis, materials selection, welding qualification and Metallography




- Ability to use the following testing equipment: Tensile Compression Tester, Wilson Hardness Tester, Profile Projector, Stereoscope, MG Microscope, Brake Fluid Boiling Point Tester, Dual scope, Hydrometer, Refractometer, etc.
- A robust understanding of QA principals (NABL and ISO/IEC 17025)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and E-mail is absolutely required.
- Highly motivated self-starter, results-oriented team player used to agile, fast-paced organizations
- Passion for solar energy, renewables, and sustainability is desire
