About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Zoho Accountant to independently manage accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), inventory tracking, and customer-wise sales reporting for our US-based operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting US clients or a US accounting process, is comfortable working in Zoho Books (and ideally Zoho Inventory), and can work a shift that overlaps with US business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable: raise customer invoices, track payments and collections, follow up on overdue balances, and maintain an accurate AR ageing report.

Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable: process vendor bills, schedule and record payments, reconcile vendor statements, and maintain an accurate AP ageing report.

Track and reconcile inventory in Zoho Books / Zoho Inventory stock levels, stock valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS).

Prepare customer-wise and product-wise sales reports to support management reporting and decision-making.

Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.

Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and basic financial statement preparation (P&L;, balance sheet).

Coordinate with the US-based team / clients on invoicing queries, payment follow-ups, and reporting deadlines, working within the overlapping shift window.

Maintain organized, audit-ready books of accounts and supporting documentation.

Flag discrepancies, aging risks,



or process gaps proactively to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent).

Experience : At least 2 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, including AR, AP, and inventory/stock reconciliation.

Prior experience working with a US-based company, US clients, or a US accounting process is required familiarity with US GAAP basics, USD invoicing, and US fiscal calendar conventions is a robust plus.

Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books; experience with Zoho Inventory is preferred.

Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, or similar US-focused accounting/AP tools is a plus.

Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliation templates).

Strong attention to detail, ownership, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Clear written and verbal English communication for coordinating with US stakeholders.

Willingness to work a shift that overlaps with US business hours.

Good to Have

Experience with multi-currency accounting (USD/INR).

Exposure to sales tax / 1099 basics for US vendors and customers.

Experience in an e-commerce, distribution, or trading business where inventory and sales-by-customer tracking are core to the role.
