About the Role
Leysha Basmati Rice is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales and distribution across assigned markets in South India.

You will be responsible for area-level revenue, distribution, channel development and team performance, with a strong focus on General Trade, Contemporary Trade and HORECA.

We’re looking for someone who understands the local market, knows how to work with distributors and retailers, and can turn sales targets into consistent business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Own sales and business performance for the assigned area.
Achieve monthly and annual sales, volume and distribution targets.
Develop and expand the distributor and dealer network.
Drive product availability and distribution across assigned markets.
Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers and key accounts.
Drive sales across General Trade, Modern Trade and HORECA,



as applicable.
Lead and manage Sales Officers / field sales teams within the area.
Set targets, monitor performance and ensure effective field execution.
Track primary and secondary sales and identify gaps in market performance.
Conduct regular market visits to understand retailer, distributor and customer requirements.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, schemes and market trends.
Ensure effective implementation of trade schemes, promotions and visibility initiatives.
Identify new territories, outlets and business opportunities.
Prepare regular sales reports and share market insights with the leadership team.
Work closely with the RSM/ZSM and other teams to execute regional growth plans.

What We’re Looking For
8+ years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, food, staples, rice or consumer goods.
Strong experience in territory/area sales management.
