Job Description

This individual should have strong technical experience in strategic advisory, transport assessment and management, with suitable knowledge of transport modelling and carbon appraisal methods. This role is well suited to someone with a transport planning or modelling background, and a passion for mitigating climate change through decarbonising transport whilst delivering multiple positive transport outcomes is essential. Joining the team at this critical time for climate action presents a great prospect.

Responsibilities

Experience in project management and/or technical leadership of projects, preferably with an associated client facing role.
Ability to review technical outputs from strategic modelling, transport assessments and carbon quantifications and contextualise the results.
Ideally, Transport Planning or Modelling experience, including areas such as transport policy and strategy, major scheme business case development, highways development management. Alternatively, an environmental or engineering background,



with strong ability to work with transport and carbon specific technical data.
An understanding of the principles of Net Zero in a transport context and preferably specific experience relating to carbon assessment and management.
Strong analytical skills and pragmatic nature to resolving complex issues.
Ability to innovate beyond traditional processes and methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand complex requirements and lead and convince people even in challenging situations.
A track record of leading teams, supervising, upskilling and developing people to deliver business growth and technical excellence
Confidence in adapting complex information into concise, plain-language summaries.
A deep interest and passion for delivering Net Zero

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering.
