About the Role
Leysha Basmati Rice is looking for a Sales Officer to drive on-ground sales, distribution and market expansion across assigned territories in South India.

This is a field-focused role for someone who understands the local market, has strong distributor and retailer relationships, and can consistently deliver sales and distribution targets.

Key Responsibilities
Drive sales and distribution across the assigned territory.
Achieve monthly and annual sales and volume targets.
Manage relationships with distributors, dealers and retailers.
Ensure product availability and visibility across the market.
Expand outlet coverage and identify new business opportunities.
Drive sales through General Trade, Up-to-date Trade and HORECA, wherever applicable.
Conduct regular market visits and manage beat plans effectively.
Generate orders and ensure timely follow-up with distributors and retailers.




Track primary and secondary sales and identify gaps.
Execute trade schemes, promotions and market activation initiatives.
Monitor competitor pricing, products, promotions and market activity.
Build strong relationships with retailers and channel partners.
Share regular market updates and sales reports with the ASM.
Ensure effective execution of company sales strategies at the ground level.

What We’re Looking For
5+ years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, food, staples, rice or consumer goods.
Strong field sales and territory management experience.
Existing relationships with distributors and retailers will be an advantage.
Good understanding of the local market and retail landscape.
Experience in General Trade is preferred.
Modern Trade / HORECA exposure will be an added advantage.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Target-driven, energetic and comfortable with extensive field travel.
